Every year at the Vernal Equinox (it's the first day of Spring!), the moon is very close to the Earth. In relative terms- enough to seem bigger in the night's sky. I, along with it seems everyone else with some sort of camera, decided to camp outside to take a picture of the moon.
Unfortunately, there isn't anything in my backyard that would make an interesting composition, and I was far too lazy to go somewhere for it, so my pictures are just MOON and blackness. Until I live in Denver or somewhere in the Rockies and I can get a mountain with the moon, I'll just have to live with these.
Sad note about these pictures. I realized that my camera has a few hot pixels when I looked at these? What are hot pixels? They're individual pixels in the camera that basically "run hot" or show up as a constant little color. Mine all show up as little green crosses. Don't bother looking for them in this picture, I've cropped them out in anger.
I tried to use two hot pixels as an excuse with TH for a Nikon D7000, but so far it's a no go. I'll keep working on it.
This weekend a group of us are going to Cowboys Stadium for the tour. If you've never been, even if you hate "Jerruh" Jones, even if you hate the Cowboys - go. It's amazing to just see the immense size and scope of the stadium. I just bought a new lens for my camera and I'm going to bring it, so let's hope the pictures are interesting and turn out well.
