During my two weeks "off" from work (or, basically, when I would show up for a few hours then realize there was nothing to do and just leave and no one cared or noticed), I spent a lot of time taking pictures. My mom, aunt and I headed up to a pasture that we know of and took pictures of the horses and other livestock there. These pictures really demonstrate what it's like to live in Texas: beautiful horses and pastures with a state-of-the-art children's hospital in the background. Nevermind that the hospital is on one side of the pasture area and a state highway is on the other...we here in Texas put livestock wherever we can fit it.
He's not quite Bevo, but he'll do. (If you have no idea who Bevo is, this will let you know).
This little guy (gal? I didn't want to lift up his leg to check) was adorable. He basically just followed his mama around and whenever they were too far apart, he would start calling to her. So cute.
This gal was great, but a bit of a carrot-hog. These horses really come running when they see people walk up. They must be used to being fed.
