So, I know it's been a long time since I've updated the blog. I have a legitimate excuse, though. I quit my previous job and this was my last week there. I spent the week packing up my office and making sure my cases were transferred without any glitches.
I also spent the week taking TONS of pictures. On Monday night, I took a "night photography" class with my mom and her sister at the local lake. It was so much fun - I loved learning all the ways to make exposures more artistic. Here are a few samples:
This is the sunset over the lake. I loved the colors from the clouds, although it was frickin' freezing.
Just a depth of field experiment and I ended up loving how "urban" the colors looked.
Another depth of field experiment on the bridge over the lake. I like the light effects but the anal retentive part of me really wishes the lights were symmetric.
Two women walked through the frame while I was taking this picture and I actually liked the result. Love the ghost effect.
It was pitch black and I took this exposure for over two minutes. The perfect focus is really just a fluke.
Another two minute exposure. LOVE how creepy this is.
Jackass swans all took off during my picture on this one.
