Nostalgia

At lunch with coworkers today, we discussed vacations. Being professionals, it's so difficult for us to take vacations longer than a long weekend. Even if you do, it's not like the work won't be waiting on you when you get back (how's that double negative for you?).

Anyway, we talked about the trips we took in between taking the Bar exam and starting work. Often, you have a break of a month or so in between those two events so many people take one last "blow it out" vacation. We did - we went to Italy. And now I'm nostalgic for how amazing and fun it was.

Venice. We're on a water taxi on the Grand Canal and I loved the color of this building.

Gondolas lined up in a minor canal in Venice.

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence.  We stayed in Venice, Florence, Rome and Florence was by far our favorite.

The Coliseum at night. Rome.

St. Peter's Basilica (and square). I'm not Catholic, but the Vatican and St. Peter's were the most impressive things we saw. They're simply awe-inspiring.

One day we'll get back to Italy. One day.
