MCP Project 52: 10/52 Childhood Toys

I lied in that previous post. I felt inspired by something so I fiddled around with some pictures that I took this weekend. I spent hours earlier this weekend trying to edit them and come up with something that I liked. Tonight, the first three edits that I did turned out to be exactly what I was looking for earlier and couldn't achieve.

The theme this week is "Childhood Toys." Granted, all the mommy photographers that I know and online might have an advantage with this theme. We're DINKs (Dual Income, No Kids...I just learned that this year. Sad) and so childhood toys don't really linger around our house. But, I scoured the room that we've marked as our eventual nursery and found some old figurines of mine. When I was (very) little, I had a bunch of Precious Moments figurines in my room. I've kept them this entire time. I get nostalgic looking at them and I feel like I was able to capture that emotion (after some trial and error.......) with my picture.

Here's hoping that next week's theme is "Dogs sleeping haphazardly on the sofa." I'll be set!
